Royal Cliff’s DeVine Wine Club Enjoys Night with Grand Cru Bordeaux Wines
Pattaya, Thailand - Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club recently had another remarkable wine dinner “The Odyssey of Grand Cru Bordeaux Wines” at the Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar – Excellence & Heritage. DeVine Wine Club members and wine lovers enjoyed a delicious 5-course menu featuring excellent cuisine prepared by Royal Cliff's Executive Chef and his talented culinary team, along with premium wines from Bordeaux, one of France's leading estates.
Nearly 70 guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Prem Calais, General Manager of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group, at the pre-dinner cocktail reception where a delectable selection of deluxe canapés accompanied by Montaudon Réserve Première Brut NV awaited guests at The Lobby Bar of Royal Cliff Beach Hotel.
The superb five-course menu, which followed at the Royal Grill Room and Wine Cellar started with an appetizing Pacific Scallop, Spanish Carabineros Prawn, Broccoli Cream, Hazelnut Crumble Tapioca Pearls and Pernod Foam served with Beau Rivage Bordeaux Blanc. Guests then enjoyed the Confit Salmon with Mango, Radish and Chili Salsa wonderfully paired with a Turpin Muscadet 2013 and mouthwatering Red Pepper Sorbet. The delectable Juniper Berry and Thyme flavored Venison Loin, Chestnut in Red Wine Cream Sauce, Gratin Ratte Potatoes, and Cranberry enhanced Red Cabbage served along with Les Hauts De Lynch Moussas 2010 along with the Deluxe French Cheese selection paired with Château Batailley 2006 were the highlights of the evening. The night ended with a Chocolate Spiral, Forest Berry Roulade Bourbon Vanilla Sauce served with Château Suduiraut Sauternes 1996.
It was another memorable night as guests enjoyed the delicious 5-course set menu with fantastic wine pairings to complement each course. Mr. Berenger Le Boursicot, a fervent wine enthusiast and Bordeaux Ambassador, also returned as the evening’s guest speaker and shared his extensive knowledge on the world of Bordeaux wines.
Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club was launched on April 28, 2001 as the visible face of the resort's enthusiasm for promoting wines and hosting wine-related events. Today, membership has grown substantially and it is now Asia’s leading wine club which hosts popular gala dinners.
