Pattaya, Thailand – The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand (RCOST) in collaboration with AAOS international recently held The 34th Annual Meeting of The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand 2012 themed “Current Concepts in Minimally Invasive Orthopaedic Surgery” at Pattaya’s largest and best convention venue, Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH). 

The annual meeting was comprised of plenary lectures, symposiums, case discussions, workshops, VDO presentations and exhibition. The technical exhibition was opened to medical and surgical manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, scientific book-sellers and product buyers and sellers.

This meeting also featured sporting activities for team building and the congress gala dinner at PEACH where the delegates were treated to a sumptuous culinary experience and live music by Pop singer Joy KPN. 

This year’s topics focus on sports medicine, spine, trauma, arthroplasty and hand subspecialties. The highlights of the meeting were the special lectures, symposia and instructional courses with renowned orthopaedists from United State of America including Prof. Brian J. Cole, MD from Rush University, Asso. Prof. Marc Philippon, MD from Steadman Phillppon Research Institute and Asst. Prof. Jame C. Esch, MD from San Diego Shoulder Institute. Also highlighted was a special program collaborated with AAOS international, led by Asso. Prof. Guido Marra, MD.

The 3-day event was attended by 1,000 Thai and International delegates including prestigious members of Thailand’s medical community; Dr. Adisorn Patradul, President of the RCOST, Dr. Sukit Hanpanitkikan, Chairman of the organizing committee, Dr. Paisan Apimonbutr, Vice Chairman of the organizing committee, Dr. Saranatra Waikakul, past President of the RCOST and Chairman of the organizing committee of APOA 2014.
