A Torres Wine Experience to Remember!

Pattaya –Thailand - On Saturday, April 26, 2014, Royal Cliff’s deVine Club experienced the best of Torres Wines   with a 5-course dining sensation paired with world-class wines with the Torres:  Wine King of Spain Wine Dinner.

Royal Cliff Hotels Group in partnership with Bangkok Beer & Beverage Co., Ltd, the generous sponsor of the evening hosted an unforgettable five-course menu that highlights the delightful taste of Spanish cuisine paired with the rich taste of Torres Wines at the award-winning Royal Grill Room and Wine Cellar.

An elegant welcome cocktail reception at the Lobby Bar of the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel commenced the event as guests were greeted by the Royal Cliff Executive team led by Managing Director, Mrs. Panga Vathanakul.   An assortment of tasty tapas together with the exquisite taste of Mas Rabell White D.O. Catalunya 2011 welcomed delighted guests as they leisurely mix and mingled in anticipation of the evening’s gastronomic affair.

Royal Cliff Hotels Group General Manager and Acting President of the DeVine Wine Club, Mr.  Antonello Passa gave a warm welcome speech as well as had the honor of introducing the evening’s guest speaker and wine specialist, Mr. Gabriel Fernández, the Area Export Manager of Miguel Torres S.A. who guided everyone through the fascinating realm of the famous Torres Wines.  Guests thoroughly enjoyed Royal Cliff’s Executive Chef Walter Thenisch’s culinary creations for the evening preceded by a mouth-watering first course of White Asparagus & Iberico Ham with Avocade Tartare topped with Shaved Cured Foie Gras served with Viña Esmeralda D.O.  Catalunya 2012.  For the second course, guests savored Piment d'Espelette, enhanced grilled Tiger Prawns with Lemon & Garlic flavored Onion Crisps drizzled with wood-smoked extra virgin oil complemented with the rich and refined taste of Viña Sol D.O.  Catalunya 2012.   An amazing main course of Thyme Crusted Loin of Lamb with grilled vegetables, crisp potato tart & Thyme Scented Jus followed paired with the distinctive taste of the Coronas D. O. Catalunya 2011.   Manchego Cheese accompanied by Stewed Spiced Plums came after, balanced with the distinct flavors of Atrium Cabernet Sauvignon D.O. Penedés 2007.   The evening capped off with the tempting sweetness of Cherry Almond Tart, Catalan Crème Brûlée and Orange Red Wine Sorbet along with the sultry taste of San Valentin Parellada D. O.  Catalunya 2011.

Showcasing 5 spectacular wines along with imaginative Spanish cuisine, the harmonious palate-pleasing combination of scrumptious gastronomic repertoire and sophisticated wines was surely a delight for one and all as guests paid homage to the exquisite taste of Torres Wines in a wine experience to remember!

The deVine Wine Club was launched on 28th April 2001 as the visible face of the resort's enthusiasm for promoting wines and hosting wine-related events.
