DeVine Wine Club Members Experience a Taste of Tyrrell’s Wines
Pattaya, Thailand - Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club held an unforgettable wine dinner featuring Tyrrell’s Wines for club members and wine lovers alike at the Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar on the evening of July 24, 2015.
Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, Managing Director of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group together with Mr. Antonello Passa, General Manager of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group and Acting President of the deVine Wine Club were on hand to warmly welcome wine aficionados at the start of the evening. Over 70 valued guests gathered at The Bar of Royal Cliff Beach Hotel for an exquisite selection of canapés accompanied by the Old Winery Semillon 2012 before Executive Chef Walter Thenisch’s delectable dinner that proceeded soon after at the Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar.
Highlighting this gastronomic occasion was a riveting 5-course dinner prepared by Royal Cliff’s award-winning culinary team that was carefully paired with extraordinary vintages from Tyrrell’s Wines, Australia. Guests indulged in a light salad of poached Canadian lobster with young coconut and palm heart on lemon dressing which was perfectly complemented by Glenbawn Premium Brut for pre-appetizers. The dish was followed by savoury slow cooked Pacific scallops with sweet corn, chanterelles and lemon grass paired with the sparkling Moore’s Creek Chardonnay 2009. Juicy roasted rib eye served medium rare with asparagus and parmesan crust sauce bordelaise that followed was married flawlessly with Old Winery Shiraz 2009. Before dessert, wine lovers experienced an exquisite combination of flavours from a spiced plum with Tasmanian double cream brie paired with Brokenback Shiraz 2010. Ending the meal, Royal Cliff’s pastry Chef presented a delightful chocolate tart topped with banana soufflé and vanilla raspberry terrine with yogurt ice cream served with the sparkling Moore’s Creek Brut Cuvée.
Throughout dinner, guests had the great opportunity to explore the world of Tyrrell’s Wines through the expertise and insights of Mr. Hugo Acket, the Sales Manager of Vanichwathana who was the guest speaker and wine specialist of the evening. A Taste of Tyrrell’s Wine Dinner was certainly a great opportunity for wine lovers to indulge in a well-curated selection of beautifully balanced wines from Australia’s multi-award winning vineyard.
The deVine Wine Club was launched in April 2001 as the visible face of the resort’s enthusiasm for promoting wines and hosting wine-related events. It has enjoyed tremendous success from its very first function.
