Stellar Dinner
in a Burgundy Cellar
Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, the famous Maison Louis
Jadot has always been situated in the heart of the vineyards, in
the center of Beaune. Recently installed in an old building from
the 19th century, the offices are situated above very old cellars
from the 14th century connected with the “Couvent des Jacobins”
cellars. This “Couvent” is now the venue for receiving
selected esteemed invitees to Maison Louis Jadot.

Harvest season – Critical time for winemakers
Winemaking begins in the vineyard, with proper care and attention
to the vines during the growing season. Winemakers like to say that
the best wines are made in the vineyards, which is one of the reasons
the harvest is so critical to the ultimate quality of a wine.
Rain, at least at this time of year, is a four-letter word for winemakers.
Once harvest begins, they don't even like to look up.

Unlike other female Rothschilds of her generation she is an accomplished
actress and a successful businesswoman. She insists; "People
think Rothschild women spend their day lounging around reading magazines.
My lifestyle is different, I work everyday and I am a busy businesswoman".

Good as Gold
Sauternes and its sub-appellation, Barsac, both located in the southernmost
part of Bordeaux, are treasure troves of wonderful wines. This romantic
region of low-lying hills and small valleys on the banks of the

Chateau Visit in Bordeaux
Bordeaux has over 9,000 wineries, sixty cooperative cellars and
four hundred wine shippers according to the statistics available
from the official trade organization -, the CIVB (Conseil Interprofessionnel
du Vin de Bordeaux).
There are more than 13,000 growers harvest grapes each year, and
about 5,000 chateaux bottle their own wines. However, it's the top100
or so superstar chateaux of the region that attract the world's
