As a good corporate citizen, the Royal Cliff Hotels Group is the pioneer of CSR activities in Pattaya. We have been championing environmental conservation and carrying out its responsible projects for the betterment of society since 1973.

The resort opened its own wastewater treatment plant during the early 70’s, long before Pattaya had its own. The Royal Cliff Hotels Group is the first resort and convention hall in the world, to achieve the ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management System, the extension scope of ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System and TIS 22300-2551 for MICE Security Management System. These collective achievements have made the Royal Cliff Hotels GrouP a distinct establishment recognized throughout the world.

As an endorsement of its pioneering efforts towards environmental conservation, the resort has received several awards and recognition, including EIA Monitoring Award (2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009), Kuoni Green Planet Award (2005-6 and 2007-8) and the Best Green Hotel recognition (2008).
For the Environment

For Society

Giving back to society, especially less fortunate children, remains one of the resort’s top activities. We extend financial assistance to the needy, joining hands with volunteer organizers; the resort offers regular contributions in cash and kind, such as annual donations to the Pattaya Orphanage and school for blind children as well as providing scholarships to underprivileged children.

Each year the senior management team visits various schools and charity centers to learn how the resort can best help the children. On each visit our team brings food, clothes and books to the schools. In 2009 the resort hired renowned architects and engineers to renovate the main lobby for the Pattaya School for the Blind. Moreover, the board of directors provided the majority of funding to build Pattaya Hospital and homes for HIV patients in Rayong.

Our Recognition

As an endorsement of our pioneering efforts towards environmental conservation, the hotel group has received several awards and recognition, including EIA Monitoring Award (2000, 2002, 2005 and 2007), Kuoni Green Planet Award (2005-6 and 2007-8) and the Best Green Hotel recognition (2008). We have also received the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certificate becoming the first Convention Hotel in Thailand to achieve both ISO 9001:2008 (Quality management system) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental management system) accreditation. For our meetings and incentives business we received the TIS 22300-2551 in recognition of our security management system. Another award we are proud of is from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Society, which was presented to us in recognition of an excellent enterprise in the area of employment for persons with disabilities.

For the Future

We are very enthusiastic about getting our guests involved in our CSR activities. We aim to develop more innovative and exciting packages that would involve helping the environment and society.

Education and training has been a part of the hotel group’s main focus, with us giving more than 600 internship and vocational opportunities to college students alone the past year, which will be continued.

We have always entertained visits and site tours by universities and colleges; and will continue in a larger scale. This is an opportunity for the young to appreciate the tourism and hospitality industry as one of the country’s number one revenue earners; as well as the prospects of a career in this field. We will hold educational fairs for the younger generation, assisting them in choosing the right career path.

Our noble charity projects will be on-going, with various programs lined-up. We will set up a Charity Fund to closely monitor the distribution channels to ensure that the fund is used effectively and beneficial to the selected communities.

Different benchmarks and measurement metrics will be implemented to ensure the effectiveness of our contributions. We have a commitment to the local community and the Royal Cliff Hotels Grou Pwill do its best to uphold this.

Lamborghini Club (Thailand) and the Royal Cliff Hotels Group led by Mr. Mana Trongkamolthum, Lamborghini Club Thailand’s President (4th Left), and Mr. Vitanart Vathanakul, Executive Director of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group (2nd right), donated THB 200,000 to Father Pattarapong Srivorakul, President the Father Ray Foundation (3rd right), showing strong support for the children’s education program. The event was held on 28 May 2016 at the Royal Opal Theatre of the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel in Pattaya.

The Father Ray Foundation provides a home, an education, nutritious meals, medical assistance and the opportunity for disadvantaged children and students to reach their full potential and become independent and decent members of society.
