Royal Cliff’s DeVine Wine Club Celebrates the Best of Italian Wine and Cuisine with “Una Notte in Italia”
Pattaya, Thailand – What promised to be an unforgettable evening of Italian wine and delectable cuisine turned out to be a huge success as the Royal Cliff Hotels Group deVine club recently held a memorable “Una Notte in Italia” wine dinner at the award-winning Royal Grill Room and Wine Cellar - Excellence and Heritage.
The evening began with an elegant welcome cocktail reception at the Lobby Bar of the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel where guests were greeted by members of the Royal Cliff Executive team and mingled over an exquisite selection of delicious canapés accompanied by the Prosecco Extra Dry Spumante NV.
Afterwards, DeVine Wine Club members and wine lovers experienced a remarkable 5-course menu prepared by Royal Cliff's talented culinary team, along with premium wines from Beni di Batasiolo, one of Italy's finest vineyards.
Guests indulge in an appetizing poached Dutch veal tenderloin with capers, tuna mousseline and spring leaves salad served with Gavi del Comune di Gavi Granee DOCG 2015. The dish was followed by pan roasted fillet of Mediterranean loup de mer, sweet corn puree, brown mushroom carpaccio and porcini foam perfectly complemented by Langhe La Promessa DOC 2014 and mouthwatering Limoncello sorbet. Wine lovers then enjoyed the luscious baked lamb loin fillet with pistachio-herb crust, root vegetables and almond croquettes alongside thyme-rosemary flavored red jus served with Barbera d’Asti Sabri DOCG 2013. Before dessert, everyone experienced the exquisite combination of flavours from pecorino, gorgonzola and taleggio cheeses with walnut bread and fig jam paired with Barolo Corn Eravamo DOCG 2012. The night ended with a variety of delightful desserts by Chef Frederic Paris served with Moscato Spumante NV.
Throughout dinner, guests also had the wonderful opportunity to explore the world of Italian Wines through the expertise and insights of Mr. Fiorenzo Dogliani, the CEO of Beni di Batasiolo winery, who has traveled the world promoting his Piedmontese Barolos and other wines for many years. For centuries, the Dogliani name has been synonymous with the distinctive wines of Piedmont. The night proved to be another remarkable evening of amazing cuisine and fantastic wine as everyone enjoyed the well-curated selection of beautifully balanced wines from Italy’s award-winning vineyard!
